Well I went to vote at my advance poll today since I can't vote when I'll be away. The lady who took my registration card said that I was the only young person who had come in all day. This got me to thinking about how many young people don't vote. I was a little disturbed when I search the net and found a few shocking articles. This one by the Star shows how elections Canada is trying to target commerials at youth aged 18-24.CNEWS has stats from the 2000 election that shows one quarter of the eligable voters from 18-20 voted. I think everyone who can vote should vote otherwise you are spitting at all the men and women who fought in the name of freedom so you can vote and choose who runs this great country.
